01. To begin setup, take apart system components and remove all packaging and protective materials.

We recommend handwashing the system Lid, Fill Cap, Water Filter, Unfiltered Water Reservoir and Filtered Water Reservoirs with a mild detergent before the first use. Do not put system components in the dishwasher or use abrasive cleaners. Rinse thoroughly with tap water after washing. Once complete, remove the paper tray in between the base and system and reassemble system components.

02. Remove the filter element from its protective sealed bag and attach to the reusable Water Filter Housing. Insert the filter element into the housing until the base is aligned and twist to lock into place. Use water to wet the filter gasket prior to installation. This will make it easier to insert it into the system.

03. Install the filter element into the Unfiltered Water Reservoir by removing the system Lid and Fill Cap and pushing the filter straight down to the bottom.

04. Remove the plastic battery tab from under the system in order to start up the system electronics and Performance Indicator System.

05. Press and hold the System Control Button for 15 seconds. Release the button after both System Lights blink red 3 times. System sensor calibration is now complete.

06. Fill the Unfiltered Water Reservoir with cold or room temperature tap water. Wait 60 minutes for the first fill to complete filtering, then discard this water by holding the spigot open until the system has drained. You are now ready to begin using your system.

We recommend filling the Unfiltered Water Reservoir, waiting 20 minutes for it to filter, fill it again, wait 20 minutes, and then topping it off so that the system is full to achieve maximum outflow rate.
